This office and the people in it are really important to me. I’ve been known to stay late hours at night to paint an office, vacuum or dust. I take pride in our office and like doing it. I was one of the first females from the civilian sector hired as a quality assurance inspector on military ships. My first assignment was on an air craft carrier, the USS Constellation. I learned my way around fast. Sometimes my job required me looking at blue prints and comparing actual work accomplished with men old enough to be my grandfather. I had to find diplomatic ways make correction to errors without jeopardizing the working relationship. I apply those same principles today.
